-  User friendly design within a Unique Filtration System (UFS).

-  One size fits all.

What Is Activated Carbon?

Activated carbon is a form of carbon which has been processed to have small pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption.  It has a high degree of microporosity, and can effectively filter out 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, pollution, dust, chemicals, particles, pollen and smoke in the environment.

The activated carbon layer in our mask meets STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances) and is certified to be completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use.

Activated Carbon Face Mask Specifications

The unique filtration system consists of two main parts:

  • the high-density outer cotton mask features a large surface area with a stretching strap to prevent hands having to touch the face; and
  • a replaceable carbon filter built with a unique shielding composition (the internal layer is made with 100% activated charcoal, developed for chemical and biological applications and emergencies, allowing optimal breathing while filtering out harmful chemicals and gases).

The mask consists of:

  • spunbond fabric for the protection of the inner fabric layers; and
  • filter fabric (nonwoven PP MB, complies with ASTM F2102 and EU Standard EN 14683-1 (which specifies construction and performance requirements, and test methods for surgical masks intended to limit the transmission of infective agents).

Instructions for use as a multi-use mask

The fabric layer must be washed before initial use.

Washing instructions

  • The active carbon filter layer must be detached from the cotton mask.
  • Where the filter has been used under contaminated working conditions, its effectiveness has expired and it should be disposed of.
  • The strap should then be detached from the mask.
  • The clamping buckle and the strap should be pulled out.  Please do not wash the mask with the filter, strap and buckle attached.
  • A high heat (of about 70 degrees Celsius) should be used to eliminate contaminants.
  • After washing, reconnect the strap and filter layer and allow the mask to dry.

Duration of single filter use:

  • a single filter lasts for a few days under normative ambient conditions; or
  • up to 10 consecutive hours under contaminated working conditions.
